“A Night at the Races” Fundraising Gala for Weinstein JCC

Place your bets and expect an evening filled with exciting races, cocktails, food and prizes, all while supporting a pillar of the Richmond community. The Carole and Marcus Weinstein Jewish Community Center (JCC) is hosting its annual fundraising gala on Thursday, Feb. 23, 2023.

An aptly named occasion, A Night at the Races brings all the thrills of professional horse racing to the big screen. Attendees will receive “J Bucks” to bet on each race and can cheer their horses to victory while enjoying cocktails, a seated dinner, music and more. Sponsors are invited to the “Jockey Club” for a pre-event VIP cocktail hour and a bourbon tasting by Reservoir Distillery.

At the conclusion of each race, winning tickets can be entered into a drawing for prize packages. Charitable donations can be made during the Tzedakah (a Hebrew word meaning deeds of justice or charity) portion of the evening.

Proceeds from the event support the Weinstein JCC’s mission to provide opportunities for educational, physical and spiritual wellness, guided by Jewish values and culture. Fundraisers like the annual gala help to ensure that the organization’s programs, resources and services are accessible and open to all.

Sponsorship levels begin at $1,000 and individual tickets are available for $200. Tickets are limited and can be purchased at the event website.
