June 8, 2024 @ 9:00 am - 5:00 pm
FreeVolunteer dentists and dental hygienists and VCU School of Dentistry students will provide free oral care to participants competing in the 2024 Virginia Special Olympics, as well as to all others in need, at the University of Richmond on June 8. Participants will receive free cleanings, x-rays, fillings, and extractions during the event. Due to higher capacity, any individual in need will be eligible to receive care at this year’s event on a first come, first served basis.
ABOUT MISSION OF MERCY
Mission of Mercy (MOM) is the Virginia Dental Association Foundation’s mobile dental clinic program, developed by Dr. Terry Dickinson in 2000. MOM projects improve the oral health of hundreds of people – primarily uninsured adults – each year by providing preventative, restorative, and surgical services in strategic locations across the state.
