Ever Thought of Applying to Leadership Metro Richmond’s signature program?

LMR, the region’s leadership development organization that connects community-minded leaders to each other and to the issues that matter, is accepting applications for Leadership Quest, the nonprofit’s signature leadership program.

Have you considered applying? We asked Myra Smith, LMR’s president and CEO, some questions, and her answers may help you decide…

What is Leadership Quest?

Leadership Quest is LMR’s 10-month community leadership program that connects diverse leaders for relationship and solution-building. Participants increase their knowledge and perspectives about key regional issues and gain tools for impactful community leadership. It’s not your traditional leadership program but a dynamic opportunity for individuals to step into their potential and make a real impact.

What can participants expect as part of the class of 2025?

Participants can expect an environment where trust building and authentic conversations are encouraged. Leadership Quest provides space for participants to be themselves, share perspectives and build meaningful connections. Members of the class engage in problem solving and solution building as a team. They meet regional issue experts, key decision makers and gain understanding of the assets and challenges that exist in our region.

And participants expand and diversify their networks throughout the program, forging connections with individuals from diverse backgrounds and industries. As alumni, members of the class will have opportunities to engage and build connections with our community of 2,000+ program alumni.

Who should apply, and on what basis are applicants selected for the class?

Leadership Quest is open to adult residents of the Richmond region who believe that with more connections, a greater knowledge of the region and community leadership tools, they can make a more positive impact. Applicants must live or work within the greater Richmond region.  There is no age, academic or career requirement to apply.

Is there a cost?

Yes, Leadership Quest is $5,000 per participant. There are partial scholarships and payment plans available for those in need. [Click here to learn more].
