Capital Trees Presents Goats & Gardening at Canoe Run Park

RICHMOND, VA – September 3, 2025 – Capital Trees invites the community to join a special Goats & Gardening event on Saturday, September 6th from 9–11 AM at Canoe Run Park. In partnership with RVA Goats, the morning will highlight the important role goats play in invasive species management while offering opportunities for community volunteer action.

Attendees will learn about Virginia’s native plants and pollinators, meet the RVA Goats at work, and take part in hands-on efforts to help maintain and care for trees throughout the park.
