Help ReEstablish Richmond Celebrate Its 10th Anniversary

ReEstablish Richmond, the local nonprofit that helps newly arrived refugees get settled in their new homes in Virginia, is commemorating its 10th anniversary with a fitting celebration.

On Saturday, November 4, the organization will host partners, volunteers and community members with an array of activities, including interactive games that highlight its programs (think trivia, art displays, even sewing machines) as well as food from Richmond’s premier Afghan restaurant, Mantu.

The afternoon will be filled with inspirational stories. Attendees will hear from ReR’s clients from over the past decade, recounting their journeys amid a new culture and language. And ReR will honor some of the individuals and organizations that have made its work possible.

Volunteers are needed to make the celebration possible. If you can help with parking, setting up, ushering guests, photography or cleaning up, please sign up here with your preferred time slot.

The celebration will be held at Farooq Farm from 4-6 p.m. (Some of the volunteering roles start earlier and end later to account for set up and break down.)
