This spring’s calendar is already filling up with a wide cross-section of training opportunities for area nonprofit leaders. Here’s a rundown of some of the courses and seminars that are being offered by Richmond-area groups.
Leadership Metro Richmond
LMR is offering four Zoom training sessions on timely topics, from diversity, equity and inclusion within nonprofit boards to financial management and sustainability amid the pandemic. Community Foundation
CF’s Learning Team has unveiled its 2021 winter/spring lineup of “live online” classes around the theme of Building Operational Excellence. There are 16 classes to choose from, from board basics and board engagement to managing budgets, fund development and grant writing. University of Richmond’s Institute on Philanthropy
IOP, billed as the premier provider of professional development for nonprofit leaders and staff, offers four intensive certificate institutes each year: Fund Development Institute (offered twice a year over six days); Strategic Communications Institute (offered once a year over four days); Grant Writing Institute (offered once a year over four days); and Planned Giving Institute (offered once a year over three days).
