The afternoon includes bowling\, a DJ\, raffles\, food\, drinks\, and sponsorship opportunities. \n\n\nAustin died by suicide at age 19 after struggling with anxiety and depression. One question he asked his mother\, Ginger Germani\, continues to drive the mission of the fund: “Why don’t people talk about mental health?” Through the Strike Out Stress tournament\, the Austin Germani Memorial Fund works to change the conversation\, reduce stigma\, and support organizations expanding mental health services. \n\n\nThe inaugural 2025 event raised more than $10\,800 for its beneficiaries. The 1893 home will reopen its doors after two years of restoration and conservation work through the Maymont 2025 project. Scheduled guided tours will be available on a first-come\, first-served basis. \nOut on the Mansion lawn\, enjoy refreshments from local food trucks\, plus live entertainment and activities for all ages throughout the day\, like lawn games\, crafts\, and dancers showing how to do the Charleston and other dances from the 1920s\, when the home and estate first opened to the public. Members of the Art Deco Society of Virginia will be on hand wearing their best Jazz Age styles\, plus the Richmond Region Antique Car Club will bring some vintage cars from the 1920s and ’30s. Her educational and heartfelt videos accrue over three billion annual video views from over 350 million consumers globally. She and her husband are Orthodox Jews and are raising their five daughters in that tradition. Her videos share details that provide an authentic window into many aspects of her life including food\, clothing\, Jewish traditions and religious requirements that she strictly adheres to. A third-generation descendant of Holocaust survivors\, she regularly speaks about her grandmother’s experiences during the Holocaust and how that history continues to shape her own life and identity.
