DESCRIPTION:Blue Sky Fund (BSF) will host hundreds of hikers on Sat.\, Oct. 21 for their annual fundraiser – Airington Law Hike for Kids. This year\, the Church Hill-based non-profit aims to raise over $100\,000 at the event to fund their outdoor education programs. Each year\, Blue Sky provides more than 40\,000 hours in nature for 2\,000 Richmond area youth\, many of whom experience the city’s natural spaces for the first time through Blue Sky Fund. \nThe event will begin and end at the Virginia War Memorial and lead participants through the scenic James River Park System. Hikers can choose between three lengths: 3\, 8\, or 14-mile courses. It all started on the 7th floor of the historic Miller & Rhoads department store and now 25\,000 children and families head to the Children’s Museum of Richmond to continue\, or start\, their family tradition. Legendary Santa festivities begin the day after Thanksgiving and end Christmas Eve. \nWe are delighted to have the opportunity to offer in-person visits with Legendary Santa for the 2023 season. Legendary Santa visits must be reserved in advance through tickets available for purchase on our website starting on October 16\, 2023 for Children’s Museum members and November 1\, 2023 for non-members.
