SUMMARY:The Latin Ballet of Virginia Presents Marcel Marceau: A Silent Hero
DESCRIPTION:Marcel Marceau was a French actor who was known internationally for his emotional and elegant performance as a mime. \nIn France during WWII\, Marceau used his art of mime to save Jewish children during the Holocaust. \nUnder the creative direction of Ana Anais King\, the Latin Ballet of Virginia will bring the Marcel Marceau story\, A Silent Hero\, to life through ballet. \nThe result is a moving tribute to the legendary mime artist who harnessed the power of his art to save lives during one of humanity’s darkest chapters. \nThis performance will serve as a powerful reminder of the indomitable spirit of the human soul. \nPerformance sponsored by Allianz Partners; final reception sponsored by MCV Foundation.

SUMMARY:20th Anniversary Camo Diva Celebration
DESCRIPTION:This summer\, we dive into a special week at Camp Diva\, celebrating twenty years of Girls For A Change (GFAC) Camp Diva Leadership Academy. It’s a colorful journey through our past\, present\, and future\, painted with the vibrant memories and milestones that shape our community. This week is not just about looking back; it’s about moving forward together\, filled with activities that honor our shared history and envision our future. \nWe will be “Taking It Back Old School is the Best School.” This week\, we invite all participants to engage in a fun-filled exploration of GFAC’s rich history. Campers will actively shape our end-of-week celebration\, learning about the pivotal moments that have defined us and sharing their visions for our future. \nThe highlight of our week is the traditional Friday field trip\, a day packed with activities that blend the best of yesterday and today. Expect nostalgic games\, a musical journey through our camp’s hits\, and delicious treats that bring everyone together in laughter and fellowship. This day is more than just fun—it’s a chance to create new memories\, welcome new friends\, and celebrate the enduring spirit of GFAC. \nOur Camp Diva Leadership Academy team leads the charge\, making every activity an adventure and a moment to remember. We invite all Camp Diva families and friends of GFAC to join us on Friday to turn this gathering into a grand celebration until the evening. It’s a time to affirm our community’s impact\, celebrate our growth\, and look forward to the exciting paths ahead. \nLed by the Camp Diva Leadership Academy team\, this outing is envisioned as both an adventure and a collective moment of remembrance\, celebrating the path that has brought us to this juncture. As the day unfolds\, we warmly invite Camp Diva parents and GFAC friends to join us on Friday\, elevating the gathering into a magnificent festivity that continues until dusk. This reunion is not merely an occasion; it is a profound affirmation of GFAC’s lasting influence\, a celebration of our evolution\, and a hopeful glance toward the future\, promising to strengthen the bonds of our community for generations to come.
