DESCRIPTION:In its centennial year of service\, Commonwealth Catholic Charities (CCC) is opening an art gallery in Richmond. The gallery features a permanent collection of oil paintings by lifelong Catholic\, Richmond native\, and social activist\, Nora Houston (1883-1942)\, and paintings\, photography\, jewelry\, and textiles created by clients from foster care\, refugee resettlement\, senior services\, and supportive housing. \nA gallery opening celebration will be held on September 15 from 5:00-7:00 p.m. at CCC’s headquarters at 1601 Rolling Hills Drive. \nFree activities for kids! \nDance performance by Tradicion Dance Company. \nFood and beverages will be available for sale.
