In partnership with RVA Goats\, the morning will highlight the important role goats play in invasive species management while offering opportunities for community volunteer action. \nAttendees will learn about Virginia’s native plants and pollinators\, meet the RVA Goats at work\, and take part in hands-on efforts to help maintain and care for trees throughout the park. \nEvent Details:\nDate: Saturday\, September 6\, 2025\nTime: 9:00 am – 11:00 am\nLocation: Canoe Run Park\, 600 W 22nd St\, Richmond\, VA 23225 \nThis event is free and open to all ages. SUMMARY:City Dock Full Moon Paddle
DESCRIPTION:Join FOR Educator\, Jen Gron and Board Member\, Tamara Muldrow on an interpretive paddle on the Rappahannock River while enjoying a lovely summer sunset and the Harvest Moon! This is a great beginner and scenic paddle on the flat water of the Rappahannock. Attendees will meet FOR staff at City Dock and paddle up river towards Old Mill Park. \nFOR will provide life jackets\, paddles and kayaks\, unless you register as BYO. ***FOR kayaks have a weight limit of 228 lbs *** \nSign THIS waiver prior. Must be 12+ years old to participate.  \n6pm – Arrive at City Dock\, sign waivers and get equipment together \n6:15pm – River safety talk \n6:30-7:45/8pm – Paddle the river! \nThis is a ticketed event\, whether you are using FOR equipment or bringing your own. All funds go directly towards keeping our river healthy and scenic and make programs like this possible!
