DESCRIPTION:The Great Richmond Trivia Bee is a team-based competition for people who love words\, pop culture\, history\, literature – and showing off their random knowledge\, all while having a blast! It’s also the signature annual fundraiser for The READ Center. \nSupport of the Great Richmond Trivia Bee helps adults in the Richmond community develop the skills they need to improve their lives as employees\, family members\, and citizens. In the Richmond area\, one in six adults have low literacy skills. Low literacy skills affect an individual’s health\, education\, employment\, housing\, and economic outcomes. Literacy skills are critical to navigating employment changes\, keeping up with health and wellness needs\, and adapting to a digital society. \n\nTeams should be made up of 3-4 people\nTeam registration fee is: $500 – This includes entry\, food and 2 drink tickets/person\nSpectator tickets are available for $25 – This includes entry\, food and 1 drink ticket\nTeams will need to have a primary contact person to serve as “team captain”\nGet creative! There will be a contest for the best team name and all team names will be listed in the printed event program.

DESCRIPTION:The Children’s Museum of Richmond (CMoR) is proud to present I See Me Play in RVA!\, A free event for families on Sunday\, April 27th from 9:30 am to 1:30 pm\, held at Dogwood Dell. This annual event is designed by the Children’s Museum to make play more accessible to the community by bringing one-of-a-kind learning experiences and exhibit components beyond its walls for everyone to enjoy. \nI See Me Play in RVA! will offer tons of opportunities for the community to play and learn together in five zones: Create\, Grow\, Build\, Read\, and Me. CMoR has invited community partners\, food trucks\, and entertainers for a fun family day out. Families will engage in hands-on activities\, watch demos from community professionals in inspiring careers\, and participate in interactive play for the whole family to enjoy. \n
