Leading Conversations: Best Practices in Facilitation is a three-part series presented by Jonathan Zur of the Virginia Center for Inclusive Communities. \nWhether you are new to facilitation or need a refresher\, this program will equip you with the tools needed to lead conversations in an inclusive\, informative\, and effective manner. In this interactive series\, you will learn practical tips and have opportunities to apply your skills. \nThe series occurs on the following Thursdays in October:\nThursday\, October 8\, 2026 – 11:00-5:00 p.m.\nThursday\, October 15\, 2026 – 1:00 – 5:00 p.m.\nThursday\, October 22\, 2026 – 1:00 – 5:00 p.m. \nRegistration is $325. You do not need to be an LMR alumnus to participate. DESCRIPTION:Join Tech For Troops and Richmond radio host Jeff Katz for Shredtoberfest 2026 on Friday\, October 9\, from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. \nThis free Oktoberfest-inspired community event will feature hands-on hard-drive shredding\, grilled bratwurst and sauerkraut\, soft pretzels\, cold beer\, nonalcoholic refreshments and German music from DJ DNice804. Guests can meet Jeff Katz between 11:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m.\, pick up The Jeff Katz Show swag and tour Tech For Troops’ Richmond headquarters. \nEach guest may personally shred one hard drive provided by Tech For Troops at no charge. Additional hard drives may be shredded for a $5 donation per drive. Attendees are also encouraged to bring unwanted technology from home or work to donate. \nShredtoberfest is open to community members\, technology donors\, business representatives and anyone interested in learning how Tech For Troops uses technology access\, digital skills training and responsible electronics recycling to support Veterans and their families. \nAdmission is free.
